A tentative program of study for the first year is
below. Students will be enrolled by cohorts of 18. A cohort is a small
learning community which will proceed through the first year program as a
group. Listed college courses have
lecture, laboratory, clinical, and semester credit hours in
parenthesis. An hour in collegiate terminology is 50 minutes.
The default
college degree program is the Associate of Arts degree. In the first year
all students follow the same program of study. In the second year they
will be able select other degree options such as the Associate in Arts
(pre-major options), Associate in Fine Arts (art or drama), Associate in
Science, and the Associate of Science in some majors. The Associate of
Arts, Associate in Fine Arts, and Associate in Science, including all
pre-majors, are college transfer programs. The Associate of Applied
Science is not a college transfer program although through articulation
agreements some of the coursework is transferable to some universities. See
Degree
Programs for a list of degree program options.
